OIC OH ICE CREAM @ MOUNT AUSTIN, JOHOR

SMOKY ICE CREAM anyone?
Many were attracted to it's pretty fascinating presentation which uses dry ice to create the misty hazy look.  TBH, the ice cream/gelato were nothing spectacular and were pretty 'normal', melting too fast. If the main selling point is the presentation, we wonder if the craze will fizz out gradually.
We ordered the HOTPOT RM28 which included 3 scoops of gelato, 2 toppings and 1 waffle, which almost everyone in the house ordered.

The cutlery set was cute accompanied with the whole presentation on the wooden board.

The waffle was topped with whipped cream, which unfortunately won't do good to every ladies' dieting plans. Waffle was soft and didn't leave any impression.

Grill Bar Steakhouse

With a totally Western name like Grill Bar Steakhouse, you know this restaurant will serve you up some of the tastiest Western food in this city.

This is an American themed restaurant that serves up some authentically American dishes with a bit of a twist.

They even have an Onion Blossom as an appetizer, something that is carried in almost every steakhouse in America.

The Black Angus Ribeye, Mushroom and Cheddar Beef burrito and the Country Pesto Chicken are all succulent and fantastic.

The Paprika Grilled Sea Prawns (RM28) were meaty and sweet, and the slightly charred outer layer was smokey. The tasty prawns were well complemented by the lemon cream sauce.

Grill Bar's famous Black Angus Ribeye Steak (RM12 per oz)

The Rosemary Rack of Lamb (RM59) made with chilled New Zealand lamb roasted in a broiler.

Mee Bandung Muar at Abu Bakar Hanipah Mi Bandung Muar Special, Muar, Johor

Mee Bandung Muar (MBM) is one of the uniquely Johor dishes that make up the Johor brand of foods. Enche Abu Bakar Hanipah's Mee Bandung Muar Special is one of the best versions of this Johor speciality.

I was first introduced to Abu Bakar Hanipah's Mee Bandung Muar Special during Tourism Malaysia Johor's 2013 food trail featuring the riverine city of Muar.

The secret of Abu Bakar Hanipah's MBM Special is in this sambal made mainly with dried shrimps, chili and spices.

I love Abu Bakar Hanipah's MBM a lot because of the savoury and mildly spicy gravy. I like it that the gravy is chock full of ingredients and feels substantial and full bodied. This gravy is made with diced cubes of beef, shrimps, cuttlefish, and the signature grainy sambal made mainly with ground shrimps, chili and spices. Some might find it on the slightly overpowering side but it tasted just perfect to me

When you are in Muar, pay Enche Abu Bakar Hanipah a visit and try his Mee Bandung Muar Special. It's quite a treat at RM4.00 a plate.

KFry Urban Korean Fried Chicken @ Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre [Malaysia]

K’Fry (slang for Korean Fried Chicken) recreates Korean comfort food with a wholesome and modern twist.

The chicken are delivered FRESH DAILY, never frozen, ONLY CHILLED.
Using a unique Korean Double Frying Method, our well marinated Chicken are fried to JUICY, CRISPY PERFECTION!
Try it in all the 7 different flavours including Korean favourites, Spicy Yangnyeom, Soya Garlic and Honey Butter!

One of their bestseller food in the cafe. I tried the spicy flavour. Its boneless fried chicken dipped with the korean sweet & spicy sauce combined with melting mozarella cheese! The K-Fry staff will assist to melt the cheese right in front of you to wrap the chicken with cheese (as shown above). Its a huge portion, that can be shared for 2-3 pax. Price : RM49.90

Mango Rita - the picture on the menu appealed to us and since it's a non-alcoholic beverage using lemon Barbican soda, we figured it would not do much harm to weak drinkers like us. p.s. the bingsoo we wanted was unfortunately already sold out.

Strawberry Rita and Mango Rita. In comparison between the two, the mango one was so much nicer; refreshing and not overly sweet with a tinge of sourness! It's actually a lot for one person and i would strongly suggest sharing if you happen to be there.

Jap Chae - you would seldom go wrong with the Korean style stir fried glass noodles and this didn't disappoint with the signature savoury sweetness that i have always enjoyed! Add in my favourite mushrooms, chives and onions and it's an appetising dish i couldn't resist.

Garlic Soya Wings - crunchy with a strong garlic infusion, i admit they are worthy of the thumbs-up logo on the menu. With 4 winglets and 4 drumlets, don't forget to snack on the delicious garlic bits that garnished the deep fried chicken!

So Guys, you should try it!!!
